I help non-profits build stakeholder trust to create genuine buy-in, belonging, and impact.

👋Are you the non-profit leader of an established organization struggling with volunteer recruitment and retention?
😢Do you feel disorganized and like your community is disengaged?
🎲Are you gambling with important stakeholder relationships, reputation, and revenue by sticking with the same routines?

Your team is doing their best but these things still happen...

😯 The Development Team finds out through conversations that important donors are current/ past volunteers. There is no documentation of this information in the donor database, or elsewhere.
🫣Volunteers who have supported the organization long-term and have interest in other areas are given the same screening and training as brand new people. They feel annoyed and unseen.
🤯Teams are scheduling volunteer meetings/ events that involve the same volunteers at overlapping times because they have not consulted one another.
😡 People with Lived Experience are often asked to volunteer in roles that require them to share their stories or relive difficult experiences. They feel tokenized or that their stories are perpetuating a stereotype.

HI, I'M JESSICA

I'm an award-winning volunteer engagement professional who has led strategic transformations at some of Canada’s largest nonprofits and dozens of grassroots groups. I hold the CVA credential and teach a Volunteer Management course at Fleming College. I am an expert in creating meaningful roles, processes, and environments where stakeholders feel seen and included.

"Jessica updated our Staff Facilitator Job Posting and Education Day Volunteer Posting, ensuring the roles were more accurate and appealing to applicants. Her timely response and clear communication throughout the process were invaluable. Jessica also explained her ideas and backed them up with evidence-based information, making it easy to understand the rationale behind her suggestions. The impact was significant—we received more job and volunteer applications than ever before, from outstanding candidates! Additionally, Jessica provided us with a comprehensive interview guide and templates for redirecting applicants, greatly streamlining our recruitment and screening processes. Thank you, Jessica, for your dedication and expertise!"
